Lash & Lingerie: Autumn Blues – Pre-Fall Outfit Inspirations

Dear my lovely friends,

Beware my ladies, this post is going to get a bit sexier than ever!

I’m so excited to collaborate with Adore Me Lingerie on their new project. Taking a look at Fall Lookbook 2015, I fell in love head over heels right at first sight!

As a modern woman, I believe lingerie is the most intimate expression of your personal style. Lingerie is a powerful and mysterious accessory that enhances the confidence and inner beauty of a woman. A woman who wears the right lingerie underneath would be more attractive and feminine. Long gone the days when wearing lingerie is just an obligation as you have to in public. Today lingerie became a fun, interesting accessory that every woman treats her body and it should not only be reserved for special occasion.

Bralette & Panties: Adore Me Lingerie

I love wearing cool shades of blue like this bralette set from Fall Lookbook 2015 of Adore Me Lingerie. I, personally, like wearing bralette because of its comfortableness even though it doesn’t give much support. If you would prefer more support, don’t worry since Adore Me Lingerie has all the choices for you.

For the relaxed and casual look, I’d love to wear a pair of high-waisted blue skinny jeans with a loose white shirt. You can never go wrong with blue jeans and a white shirt this fall. The one thing I love about fall outfits is that you can have fun with layering your clothes. In this look I throw on a beige trench coat. To give a feminine look, I wear a pair of black strappy high heels. I prefer to keep my accessories sleek and understated.

The one makeup look that is feminine yet attractive is a sassy red lip and long, sexy eyelashes.

Lipstick Reviews Series: Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato

Hello my lovely readers!

I have a huge crush on lip and cheek products, shades from red to coral, pink, light hue of orange,… Oh dear I just can’t get enough!

As life is getting busier, these days we prefer multi-use products because of its convenience. There are so many similar products on the market; however, Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato is the one you should try this Spring – Summer 2015.

As I said this is a multi-use product, don’t confuse yourself by the packaging. These days you can never tell because packaging can be so deceiving. Gone are the days when it was only lip gloss that came packaged like this. So yes, here come another 2 in 1 lips and cheeks tint! But don’t get the wrong idea, Shu Uemura is definitely not just-another-one kind of things, and I’m going to tell you why.

Overall about the packaging, Shu Uemura Tint in Gelato has a simple yet elegant design. The wand and brush is a soft, doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to apply on the lip and cheeks as well.

Tint in Gelatos come in 12 shades and are said to be part of the permanent range with just two colours being limited edition, BG01 and AT04 (a warm orange with gold shimmer). The color range is quite diversified, there’s something for every skin tone and favorite. For reference, the one I review today is shade AT01 Cassis Delight, which is a classy and bold red color with neutral undertones, so it would be perfect for every skin tone. The color is very pigmented, and I find the AT01 color so bright and bold that I would rarely use for my makeup look. Anyway, it stills a good idea for those who wearing red lip almost every day. And other colors in the range look so nice and pretty, I’m so excited to try them all.

Now let’s talk about the texture. The lipstick glides on smoothly and it doesn’t feel sticky on my lips which is a good thing. Because of being a multi-use product, Tint In Gelato has a fresh and creamy gelato-like unique formula magically changes from a thick to a thin layer for variations of finish: from intense dewy to soft matte finish.Thin layer gives a semi-matte look with a natural sheen finish, while delicate layering gives more intense color payoff. I, personally find thin layer is the way to go, just gently dab it on your lips and blend it out. A little goes a very long way. On special occasion, when you want your look to be bright and bold, you can apply right from the lipstick to get an intense dewy finish (as you can see in photos below)

I tried Tint In Gelato on a night out to test their long-lasting feature. Afterward, I find this doesn’t very long-lasting since I have to retouch during the night. However, it’s completely fine by me as I’m not looking a lipstick that stay on all day and difficult to remove (which I find it a little bit annoying), and yeah I’m willing to touch up my lipstick during the day.

In general, I love this Shu Uemura Tint In Gelato is worth trying and the price is more affordable than other department brand (around $28). I’ve tried the Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Kiss & Blush ($40), and I don’t see much different between these two, the formulas are pretty much identical.

Have you tried these yet? Share your thoughts with me in the comment below cause I’m going to try other color from the range, any suggestion?

LIPSTICK REVIEWS SERIES: Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer

Hey guys,

It's been ages since the last time I posted. Since my last semester was insanely busy, I barely have time to write blog and share all my beauty stuffs with you guys. But I'm so glad it's over now, and here come the best time of the year S-U-M-M-E-R !!

So today I'm going to share with you my thoughts about the new lipstick line from CLINIQUE which is the CLINIQUE Pop Lip Colour + Primer. There are 16 shades in this collection and they are all simply beautiful. As usual, Clinique's products are 100% fragrance freehttps://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png and allergy tested. They're quite affordable as far as higher end lipsticks go, at $18/piece from Sephora and 490.000 VND in stores, Vietnam.

I have to say that I fell in love with the packaging as soon as I spotted it in store. The packaging is so cute and it's quite functional too. The cap boasts a chrome-like finish that I find it very convenient for on-the-go touchups because it acts as a tiny mirror (anyway, I still have a compact mirror in my makeup bag all the time, but you know just in case).

And here’s my experience. The first time I tried, I applied it right from the lipstick. The lipstick goes on smoothly and applies evenly and opaque, I’d have to say. The formula is very creamy and quite hydrating, even after they dry down to a satin finish. However, it does dry my lips a bit, I have to touch up some lip balm during the day. The color is so pigmented. For reference, this shade is 06 Poppy Pop, which is a fun, bright orangey red color. I really like the semi-matte finish which makes the color pop even more. I find this lipstick is very long-lasting that I don’t need to retouch as much unless I'm out the whole day.

I'm not sure about the all-in-one aspect of this lipstick, with its claims of having a built-in primer. I don't really notice much difference in how long these wear or how smoothing they are compared to other creamy satin lipsticks. I always use lip balm as a base anyway.

As far as I’m concerned, I can’t wait to pick up and try more shades from this line. Nude Pop, Melon Pop and Passion Pop are on my radar.

Have you tried the new Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer? Let me know your thoughts in the comment below.

Skincare Reviews Series: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II

Sáng hôm sau thức dậy thì, omg, mình thấy da khác hẳn (in a good way, of course).

________________________________________________________________________

So, some of you may already know about this, but for those who don’t,  Estee Lauder has reformulated their iconic Advanced Night Repair serum and it is now known as Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (longest name ever, so I’ll just call it ANR 2). This is the 2013 version, which is also the latest one, as they say it’s their most advanced serum ever! Since I’ve been a fan of the old version, the new one is definitely worth trying.

What it is formulated to do:
Reveal a smoother, more radiant, younger look while waking up to more beautiful skin every day. Advanced Night Repair is proven to dramatically reduce all key signs of visible aging. It maximizes the power of skin’s natural nighttime renewal with the exclusive ChronoluxCB™ technology (with more than 25 patents and patents pending worldwide). It is great for every ethnicity and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles, leaving skin feeling smoother, hydrated, and stronger, and looking younger, radiant, and more even toned.

Quick review:

Pros: Light texture absorbs easily into the skin; Skin looks well rested and well hydrated; Redness is reduced; Blemishes fade; Skin just looks better!
Cons: Pricey.

First of all, let’s talk a little bit about the packaging. Apparently they still remain the same square brown plastic bottle. I don’t think they’ll ever change it since it’s far too iconic. The cap and the front label, however, have some changes into a more modern design. The delivery system is the same, via a pippette with a rubber cap, which I find it much more effective than a pump, and... is it just me thinking that it looks more professional and interesting?

Secondly, I’m very excited to talk about the texture and how well does it work. The texture seems to have no change. Neither has the color, which is a semi opaque amber liquid, nor the unmistakable scent.

But... Something has most certainly changed in the formula.

And, omg, the new version works even better than the old one. This is kind of surprising, because I didn’t expect it would make many differences. Having used this new ANR 2 for about a month, and I find my skin actually looks clearer, brighter, and more rested when I wake up. This is one of the claims of the new technology and I honestly doubt it when I heard of it the first time. But it really does make a visible difference. And the plus is that it gives my skin a healthy glow, well-hydrated without making my skin oily.

They also say in the packaging that this serum helps repair the appearance of past damage while protecting your skin from the aging effects of our environment. Well, I don’t think it’s an exaggeration. After about 2-3 weeks, I can see my acne scars does fade away. This is a very big deal, because I’ve been trying to get rid of them, I even thought of getting a medical treatment. The ANR 2 can’t eliminate those scars completely, but what it does is good enough, in my opinion.

Anyway, for buying such pricey products like the ANR 2, I still think this one is overrated. I would say that if I could find another night serum work just as well with better price, I surely go for it.

One more thing, putting the ANR 2 into comparison with the Lancôme Advanced GÉNIFIQUE Youth Activating Concentrate, I personally prefer the ANR 2. I don’t know about you, but I used to consider between these two and didn’t know what to buy (as you know, I went for the ARN 2 eventually). Well, I have to say it’s quite a difficult decision to make, because the Génifique also has so many good reviews and recommendation. Luckily, I got a sample of Génifique from Sephora so I would have better experience to give you my reviews. The texture of the Génifique looks quite a lot like the ANR 2, very ‘liquidy’, and absorbed easily. And the thing is that the Génifique just didn’t work for me! My skin seems to has nothing changes, it’s simply did nothing to improve my skin. When I woke up in the morning afterward, my skin seems a little bit dry (I have oily skin, just so you know) and didn’t have the well-rested look that the ARN 2 gave me. And even worse, I think the Génifique did break me out a little, not much but it did. So, yes, I recommend the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II.

Love yourself more and always be beautiful.
