Christmas Holiday Beauty Favorites

Mùa Noel đến rồi, quà tặng Giáng Sinh, hàng sale cuối mùa tràn ngập các cửa hàng mỹ phẩm thời trang. Phải nói đây là thời điểm ‘tốn kém’ và ‘hạnh phúc’ nhất của các shopaholic, đương nhiên mình cũng không ngoại lệ haha. Bài blog hôm nay là những món đồ mình cực kỳ yêu thích và thường xuyên dùng trong mấy tháng vừa qua. Nói chung là những items dưỡng da và làm đẹp cho mùa Thu – Đông nhé! 

#SKINCARE

(1) CLINIQUE

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Nói đến skincare là phải nói đến dưỡng ẩm. Items này nằm trong bộ skincare 3 steps của CLINIQUE. Mình thuộc loại da dầu, dễ nổi mụn, và khá nhạy cảm, nên khi chọn kem dưỡng ẩm cho da là cả một vấn đề (!) Nếu kem dưỡng ẩm quá ‘rich’ thì sẽ dễ gây mụn cho da hơn. Vì thế items này của CLINIQUE đặc biệt dành cho da hỗn hợp/ dầu – combo/ oily skin, cung cấp vừa đủ độ ẩm cho da của bạn.

À, so với Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free thì item của CLINIQUE cung cấp ẩm nhiều hơn nhé. Nếu bạn thấy da của bạn quá nhờn, và Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel của CLINIQUE quá ẩm so với da của bạn thì Shiseido dòng Pureness có thể sẽ phù hợp hơn với da của bạn.

(2) Vaseline

Lip Therapy Advanced

Son dưỡng môi luôn là một item mà mình không thể nào không nói đến trong các bài blog của mình. Những bài blog trước mình đã giới thiệu với các bạn khá nhiều các loại lip balm từ ‘rich’ cho đến ‘tinted’, và đây sẽ là một item mới trong list. Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced  còn có một loại nữa là tinted nhưng mình chưa có dịp dùng thử. Theo mình thấy, dòng Advanced của Lip Therapy có vẻ quá ẩm, làm cho môi của mình hơi bị ‘bóng lưỡng’ cho nên mình chỉ dùng vào buổi tối trước khi ngủ. Nhưng item này dùng cực kỳ tốt, khi môi của mình bị khô, hay nứt nẻ (do mình quên uống đủ nước, hay dùng những loại son matte) thì Vaseline Lip Therapy Advanced có thể ‘heal’ những vết nứt đó ngay lập tức.

(3) Lancôme

Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector

Item này là serum dưỡng da giúp làm mờ các vết thâm mụn và thu nhỏ lỗ chân lông, dùng mỗi tối và sáng. Bản thân serum này cũng đã cung cấp độ ẩm cho da của bạn. Nhưng mà mình thấy serum này có vẻ hiệu quả nhất khi dùng vào buổi sáng. Vì item này không có SPF chống nắng nên nếu dùng vào buổi sáng bạn nhớ dùng thêm kem chống nắng sau đó nhe.

(3) Dior Rouge Dior Couture Colour Voluptuous Care Lipstick – 999

Đối với những tín đồ của son đỏ thì màu 999 của Rouge Dior là một thỏi son không thể bỏ qua. Mình không hẳn là một cô gái mê son đỏ, nhưng mà cũng phải nói đây là màu son đỏ đẹp nhất mình từng thử. Màu son 999 là một màu đỏ classic không quá tươi cũng không quá tối, không nhũ, với độ bóng tự nhiên của thành phần dưỡng ẩm. Còn texture của son Dior thì khỏi nói, rất mượt. Nếu bạn là một cô gái yêu màu son đỏ thì bạn chắc chắn phải thử qua màu 999 của Rouge Dior (bạn có thể ra store của Dior ở TTTM Parkson để swatch và thử màu).

Festival Nails – 207 Dust Beige

Đây là 2 màu nails yêu thích của mình trong mùa Thu – Đông này! Màu 207 Dust Beige của VDL là tone màu beige hơi ngả sang xám và khá hợp với tone màu da của mình. Còn màu 260 Paint The Town thì thật ra ban đầu mua về mình khá thất vọng vì chất sơn đặc nhưng lại không lên đúng màu, muốn lên đúng màu đỏ đậm giống như màu của lọ sơn thì phải sơn đến 3 coats (!) Vì thế để cứu vãn tình hình mình phải pha một ít màu đen vào lọ sơn và kết quả là *ta-daaa* như trong hình (chỉ cần sơn 2 coats hoặc 1 nếu lấy nhiều sơn)

Khi đi ngang qua cửa hàng Yves Rocher – ‘Woahh’ – dòng limited edition mới nhìn cực kỳ ‘xmas’ luôn. Mình được tặng một bộ Christmas gift set siêu dễ thương. Về mùi hương mới, ‘Blackberries’ và ‘Redberries’ là dòng fruity, mùi ngọt nhưng cũng rất dễ chịu. Mà theo mình thấy ngoài packaging đẹp thì mùi hương cũng không phải là quá đặc biệt và cũng không ‘christmasy’ cho lắm. Dù sao đây cũng là một gift set đáng yêu trong mùa Noel này.

What’s in my school bag? – My #backtoschool go-to essentials

Hello my lovely friends!

It’s been weeks since my last post, well because I had a little distraction with my family, my girlfriends meet-up, and mostly, getting prepared to back to college! Yesss, it’s a big thing, I’m very excited to go back to college and spend time with my best girls. Yet to be honest, so many parts of me are crying inside waving goodbye to my sweet summer. Okay, I’m being ‘a little bit’ over-dramatic! I don’t want summer end just yet, but let’s face it, all the good things would come to an end sooner or later. So here we are, this blog post is all about #backtoschool and my school bag essentials!

#1 – Textbooks, Notebooks & Folders

Of course you cannot go to class without these things!

I bought all the textbooks, notebooks and folders from FAHASA Bookstores.

#2 – Planner & Journal

Since I’m a very forgetful kind of person, I always need a planner. I combine the planner and the journal into one, it’s called Vy’s Scrapbook, so that I would not leave the other one home. But what if I forgot my scrapbook… then it’s just ‘great’. Let’s hope I wouldn’t. I think wouldn’t because I love carrying around my little turquoise scrapbook. It’s a very handy book where I plan and organize my school schedule. I also put in there some reminders of upcoming events and some random ideas pop up in my head, idea of the next blog post for example.

I also bought this lovely turquoise planner from FAHASA Bookstores. Oh and my planner kind of matchy-matchy with my wallet!

#3 – Pencil case

I had my pencil case as a gift from Lancome. I’ve been using this one for such a long time, from senior year in high school I think. In my pencil case, I have a lot of small little things like some colored pens, correction pen, pencils and mechanical pencils, highlighters, ruler, eraser, and some colorful stick notes.

And there goes the part of so many colorful and fun stuffs!

#4 – Student ID Card & Holder

My #backtoschooltip: buy colorful and cute ID card holders so won’t forget to bring them along! Well,… at least for the first few weeks lol.

#5 – Gum / Mints

The class is boring and I need a wake-up-call or just a mid day pick-me-up!

#6 – Hand Sanitizer & Tissue

Well, they’re kinda obvious so I’d rather not put them in here.

I save best for the last! I put all of my beauty essentials in a small makeup bag. This makeup bag is a gift along with purchase from Shiseido.

Tinted lip balm is amazing if I would say so myself! And I love the rosy color, sheer and smooth texture of Benefit Benebalm. It’s so convenient, a hydrating, fruity, rosy tinted lip balm that conditions and glides on sheer, like a lipstick and a lip balm both in one. And that’s all we need for a go-to essentials!

When my skin gets oily and I don’t like to put powder on my face, I would just use these Acnes Oil Remover Films which can be bought at any supermarket and I’m good to go!

Mini Perfume

I always love carrying with me a mini perfume of my favorite scent. Recently, I’m in love with Elizabeth and James Nirvana White. I’ve this one as a 100 points reward from Sephora. Nirvana White is a blend of delicate peony, chic muguet, and tender musk for a very feminine and sophisticated scent. Besides, it's a mini roller-ball, so it's very easy to apply without messing all over like everywhere - did I mention that I'm quite clumsy sometimes?

Mini Deodorant

Always bring with me a mini deodorant, you know just in case!

Hair Ties

Just so you know, I’m so in love with these colorful twistband hair ties lately! And by the way, my hair ties is from Forever 21 (shop it here)  

Compact Mirror

Well, all girls need a compact mirrors in her purse. It's kind of... born-to-be-essential, right?
