Today’s article would be about M-a-s-c-a-r-a! And the It-Mascara I would like to share with you guys is Dior DIORSHOW Mascara. Diorshow Mascara has such a huge reputation from a lot of good reviews and recommendations from popular beauty blogger. So I decided to try it out – because why not? – and tell you guys my result. Dior DIORSHOW Mascara (in 090 Black) - $27.50

At first sight, Diorshow has a glossy and sophisticated black packaging, which is match with the high-end concept of Dior brand. Not to mention, the box is so shiny and I’ve got attracted to shiny things! So, packaging: perfect! – as always for Dior products.

About the wand, Diorshow has a big, over-sized and fluffy wand, which is claimed as XXL brush gives extreme volume to your lashes. Here is how Dior describe the mascara on the ads:

“Runway mascara with extreme volume and a “”lash-extension”” effect.

Diorshow combines the legendary power of its XXL brush with a buildable cream formula for adjustable professional volume and spectacular lashes.

The result: customized volume to mirror the effect of professional lash extensions.”

Sounds like a perfect mascara, right?

It’s obvious that we’re all want a false-lashes-look without actually wearing false lashes. Because, false lashes are so time-consuming, uncomfortable, and hard to take off – been there done that! Diorshow seems like a great option, but does it really worth the hype? I say, yes, it worth it and I’m not regret buying one! However, there are some pros and cons!

First thing first, the brush of Diorshow mascara, in my opinion, did a pretty good job of lengthening, volumizing and give definition to your eyes. However, there is one thing I don’t like about the brush is that it’s way too big and make it quite difficult to get in every lash, especially in the corner of the eyes. While brushing through my lashes, I notice a strong scent of familiar fragrance of Dior products. Personally, I don’t mind if the product is fragranced or not, I just want to let you know in case you’re sensitive to fragranced products.

More importantly, the look of your lashes after using Diorshow mascara is great! The texture of the mascara is very creamy and easy to apply. The mascara goes on really well and smooth, doesn’t make my eyelashes feel dry and harsh, very comfortable actually. However, it still holds the curl of my lashes pretty well – and that’s the first thing I need in mascara. The mascara is very, very black and gives your lashes amazing volume, but not as much as “lash-extension” effect and what I expected from Diorshow. It also lengthens the lashes as well. In my case, I found that 1 coat is great for everyday look and 2 – 3 coats is just right for a night out or whenever you want to make statement of the eyes makeup look. The good thing is that the mascara doesn’t clump and get flaky when applying more than 1 coat.

The biggest problem I don’t like the most is its long-lasting feature. The Diorshow mascara that I’m using for this reviews is not a waterproof version, therefore, I’m not sure if that can stay any longer than the non-waterproof one. However, this cannot stay on very well. I’m using the mascara on the daily basis. I found that it doesn’t run off if I stay indoor and working in air-conditioning environment. Otherwise, it’s going to faded and run off to my lower lash lines as you know the weather in Vietnam is very hot and humid. As it’s not waterproof, the mascara can be taken off easily with regular makeup remover. I’m using First Aid Beauty Gentle Cleansing Wipes and Shu Uemura Pore-finist Anti-shine Cleansing Oil.

To sum it up, during my experience with Diorshow mascara, I give it 3.8/ 5 points. It’s a great high-end mascara, but an impressive holy grail one? – it’s not! However, I’m still using it everyday as its comfortable feeling on my lashes and natural looking as well.

Ấn tượng đầu tiên khi thấy cây Diorshow Mascara sẽ là vẻ ngoài bóng loáng, sang trọng của một cây mascara cao cấp, hay còn được gọi là mỹ phẩm high-end. Lớp vỏ màu đen bóng in logo Dior sáng choang, với nắp vặn khá chặt để tránh mascara mau bị khô. Mình để ý, hầu hết các sản phẩm cao cấp đều có thiết kế nắp vặn rất tỉ mỉ, như cây mascara Diorshow này có thêm 1 nấc cuối cùng để vặn kỹ sản phẩm hơn. Rất chi tiết và tinh tế!

Công dụng của Diorshow Mascara được Dior nhấn mạnh là một cây mascara làm dày mi và tạo hiệu ứng như dùng lông mi giả với đầu cọ lớn XXL và công thức cấu tạo dạng kem cho phép bạn chải mi để tạo nên độ dày phù hợp mà không bị vón cục hay bong tróc.

Nghe thì rất hấp dẫn, nhưng hiệu quả thật sự thì sao? Hãy cùng mình khám phá thôi nào!

Đầu cọ của Diorshow khá là to và dày có tác dụng làm dày mi hơn bao giờ hết. Nhưng khi chải mi với đầu cọ khá to như vậy mình thấy khá là khó để chải những sợi mi nhỏ trong hốc mắt. Đặc biệt với hình dáng mắt của người châu Á như mình thì đầu cọ này khá bất tiện.  Thêm một điều nữa, khi chải mi mình không khỏi cảm nhận được mùi thơm khá nồng của các sản phẩm Dior. Đa số mỹ phẩm cao cấp đều có thêm chất tạo hương thơm, Dior cũng vậy. Vì vậy nếu như da bạn khá nhạy cảm thì nên cân nhắc điều này trước khi mua nhé. Cấu tạo dạng kem của mascara giúp mình chải mi mượt hơn mà vẫn không bị vón cục nên mình khá là thích. Đáng nói là chất liệu mịn mượt nhưng mascara vẫn giữ được độ cong mà mình bấm mi trước khi chải.

Cây mascara Diorshow khá tốt trong việc làm mi của mình trông dài và dày hơn. Nhưng thật sự mà nói là tạo hiệu ứng như gắn lông mi giả thì đáng tiếc là không đâu. Theo trải nghiệm của mình, chải mi một lớp sẽ tạo cảm giác thoải mái và tự nhiên cho makeup hàng ngày. Cuối tuần dạo phố, bạn có thể chải thêm 2 – 3 lớp để tạo hàng mi dày, đẹp và quyến rũ hơn. Điều khiến mình hài lòng là Diorshow mascara chải lên mi khá mượt, không bị vón cục, và không tạo cảm giác khô, bong tróc khi mình dùng cả ngày.

Về độ bền của mascara thì mình khá thất vọng vì mascara không giữ được lâu xíu nào. Mình dùng loại không chống nước – non-waterproof – nên mình cũng không chắc là loại waterproof có khá hơn chút nào không. Nếu mình chỉ dùng hàng ngày khi làm việc trong môi trường có điều hoà thì khá ổn. Nhưng hôm nào đi ngoài đường nhiều, với thời tiết nóng ẩm ở Việt Nam, thì mascara sẽ trôi tuột hết xuống mi dưới. Nhìn không đẹp tí nào, mình phải luôn dự phòng vài cây tăm bông để chùi đi. Bù lại mascara Diorshow rất dễ lau sạch với những loại tẩy trang thông thường. Ở đây mình dùng khan giấy tẩy trang của I’m using First Aid Beauty Gentle Cleansing Wipes và dầu tẩy trang Shu Uemura Pore-finist Anti-shine Cleansing Oil.

Tổng kết lại, đối với mình, Diorshow mascara không phải là siêu phẩm cực kỳ tuyệt vời, nhưng cũng là một sản phẩm cao cấp của Dior đáng để thử. Bởi hiệu ứng chải mi mà Diorshow mang lại là một trải nghiệm khá tuyệt để tạo nên hàng mi dài và dày hơn, hoàn hảo cho toàn bộ lớp trang điểm của bạn.

Với cả, chải mi bằng một cây mascara của Dior thì cô gái nào mà chẳng thấy thêm tự tin và kiêu hãnh một chút phải không?
